the mujahideen

storiesofthesahabah:

THE MARTYRS. THE MUJAHIDEEN.
Do you know them? Do you care about them? Do you even think about them?
Most of the Sahabah Radiyallahu Anhum were martyrs, the thing that really moves you about them is their willingness to go venture to the Path of Allaah Azza Wa Jall, their self-sacrifice for the virtue of this Path, their piety and consistent battling against those who want to destroy Islam, indeed these were the guardians.
No story of a Sahabi leaves me unmoved, it always brings me to tears and gives my heart filled with hope and strength of guarding my belief, guarding my religion.
Today, this feeling reminisced with me.
I was informed that a good brother in deen was martyred in Syria and my heart just felt this indescribable feeling, everything just bombarded me, i was like reading a page, an excerpt from the stories of the Sahabah, it wasn’t that detailed but the feeling was exactly same.
I know millions of people die everyday, sisters are being raped across the globe, Muslims are being killed and slaughtered, and yes, we hurt for the way they are being treated even if we do not know them we are hurting, but today was just different, maybe because I have known the person who is being talked about today.
Indeed this life is just journey back to our Lord, and we should all strive to make the day we meet him the most beautiful day in our lives.
It was such a shocking news, but as i look back, this was his calling, and this was his destiny, it was written for him, and somehow he knew this. he knew as he step foot in that blessed place, he may not come back to his family and this just reminded me of these beautiful words from Allaah Azza Wa Jall:
[1] Abdullah Ibn Umar Radiyallahu Anhu reported from Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi wassalaam in one of the Hadith Qudsi narrated by him that his Rabb Tabaraka wa Ta a’ala has said;
"Any slave from amongst My slaves goes out as a Mujahid in My Path, only to please Me, I guarantee that either I shall return him back with a reward and captured enemy assets, or if I recall his soul, then I will forgive him, bless him and send him to Paradise."
~Yes, i know tears might be falling from your eyes now.~
We may know a lot of people, we may have spoken to many but why whenever we hear someone was martyred our hearts just feel that indescribable feeling, that our eyes cry but deep in our hearts we are rejoicing because we know that these martyred people come back to their Lord, well honored and then we feel such blessings that Allaah Azza Wa Jall made us know such blessed people and become one of their companions in this dunya. subhan’Allaah.
And why do i say we are blessed to have them entered our lives? Please find a solemn time to read and understand the next following lines…
Allaah Azza Wa Jall says in the Qur’an;
[2] "Those who believed and left their homes, and strove for the cause of Allaah, and those who gave them shelter, and helped them; these are the believers in truth. For them, is forgiveness, and a bountiful provision."
[3] "Those who believe, and have migrated, and striven hard with their wealth and their lives in Allaah’s way, have the highest rank in Allaah’s sight. These are those who are successful.
Their Rabb gives them good tidings of Mercy from Him, and pleasurable acceptance, and gardens where everlasting delights will be theirs.
They will dwell therein forever. Verily, with Allaah is a great reward.”
[4] "The (true) believers are those who only believe in Allaah and His Messenger and afterwards doubt not, but strive with their wealth and their lives for the cause of Allaah. Such are the truthful."
and His Beloved Messenger Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi wassalaam also said about these people;
[5] "Whosoever’s feet become dusty in the Path of Allaah Azza Wa Jall; Allaah Azza Wa Jall will prohibit those feet from Hell-Fire."
[6] "A day spent in the Path of Allaah is better than a thousand other days."
[7] "Your striving in the Path of Allaah for a short while, is far better than your good deeds of the whole life staying with your family."
[8] "One who meets Allaah, without a mark of Jihad, he will meet Allaah with a flaw in him."
Note: The mark of Jihad includes, for example, a wound on the body, or dust settled in the Path of Allaah, or marks on the body while rendering his services.
[9] "Three people and who are under Allaah’s protection. If alive, they are sustained and looked after, and if they die, Allaah will send them to Paradise. 1. One who enters his house and offers Salaam, he is under Allaah’s guarantee; 2. One who goes to the masjid, he is under Allaah’s guarantee; 3. One who goes out in the Path of Allaah, he is under Allaah’s guarantee.”
[10] "The deed which brings one closest to Allaah Azza Wa Jall is to strive in the Path of Allaah. No other good deed can be better than Jihad itself in getting Allaah’s closeness."
Subhan’Allaah. Subhan’Allaah. Subhan’Allaah.
Indeed, hundreds of brothers and sisters are being martyred in Syria, so do hundreds of ours are being blessed and honored by Allaah Azza Wa Jall.
Umar Ibn Al Khattab Radiyallahu Anhu who was one of the greatest caliph of Islam, had such love for martyrdom. Indeed he was a great Mu’min of Allaah. We all know through out the story of his life, during the time of his caliphate, he always made a du’a saying; “Allahumma ruziqniy shahaadah,(O Allah, provide me with martyrdom.)” both publicly and privately. And indeed, Allaah has heard him and honored him with it. Everday Allaah Azza Wa Jall blesses us with an opportunity to make a dua and call upon him, it is but upon us on which words would we ask of Him… So next time you meet and get to know someone, virtually or in real life, know that Allaah Azza Wa Jall has brought them to you for a reason, and as to brother Ifthekar who had been a good big brother to me, i now know that Allaah Azza Wa Jall brought him to me to inspire me, i may not be among his “friends” but i know i was among those whom he have shared beneficial words and wisdom with, and with that i know Allaah Azza Wa Jall has blessed me with a great companion in this dunya.
One thing i’ll never forget about him would be that he embodied these very words of Muhammad sallallahu allaihi wassalaam through his life; [11] "The deeds that are best are Offering Salat on time; kindness to parents; and Jihad in the Path of Allaah." He was a good Muslim, a very loving son to his parents and at the end ventured to the Path of Allaah, well honored. Alhamdulillaah. So fly high, our green bird, fly and roam around the highest ranks of Jannah our dearest brother Ifthekar. _____
and i ask all of those who read this, to please spare some time on making du’a for our brother Ifthekar, that Allaah Azza Wa Jall forgives his sins and grant him Jannah and for his family and friends to be able to cope up on this hard time and also for all the martyrs and the state of our Ummah. Amin. May Allaah Azza Wa Jall reward you all. Amin. Zohayma ______
